SWEDEN
Stockholm looks to have a strong and growing craft beer community. A quick search shows a good variety of places to visit. It would have been nice to stay a few more days and enjoy many more local beers. Malmo is located on the southern tip of Sweden, just across the bridge from Copenhagen, Denmark.

This was a great place in Stockholm to enjoy Swedish craft beer. They offer a nice selection of their own beer and a few guest beers, in total about 10 beers on tap. This is a small place with about 6 bar stools and 6-8 tables. An added plus is that they have a unique menu for fresh hand crafted pizzas. Excellent food and beer. Beers:

Akkurat
This bar and restaurant was a block from my hotel so the location was excellent. Akkurat is known for their very large selection of craft beer from around Europe, as well as the rest of the world. The beer menu was a like a book. It is also a full sized restaurant. I was sitting at the bar having dinner and a few beers and talking with some locals. They told me on Sunday nights Akkurat has live music. I do not believe they have music on the other nights. And sure enough the places started to get very crowded as everyone had come to see the band. It was a rock/blues band from America. They were very good and in no time the place was rocking. Beers:

Oliver Twist
This is a nice craft beer bar with a large selection of beers both on tap and in bottles. They have a huge cooler behind the bar so you can the wonderful selection of bottled beers. It also looked like they had over 20 craft beers on tap from around the world. I was told their food was also very good; burgers, etc. Beer:

BrewDog Bar
This is an excellent taproom with both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer a large selection of beer; on-tap, bottles and cans. Most of the beers were BrewDog brews, however they had a good collection of other craft beers as well - most of these from northern Europe. Also note, they do not brew any beer here in Malmo, the BrewDog beers are brewed in Scotland and shipped here. They also serve food. Beer enjoyed:

Fun place to have beers. It is located on a street corner in Malmo. A classic wooden bar in the lower level of the building. Nice new wooden patio on the sidewalk. We drank flights out on the patio, perfect weather for drinking beers outside as the sun went down. Beers Enjoyed:
