Hausbrauerei Altstadthof is a small microbrewery near the city center. What is interesting is that they are very young for a German brewery, but old for a craft brewery. This microbrewery started 35 years ago. What is unique here is that they are brewing their own new unique versions of traditional German beers, as well as the newer craft beer flavors. I enjoyed a flight of their most popular beers.
The real treat was they gave me their new SL500 beer as a gift. This is a new beer they just started serving. It celebrates the 500 year anniversary of Germany's "Beer Purity Law".
