When you think of Russia and liquid refreshment, you probably immediately think of Vodka. But did you know that Russia is the 3rd largest producing beer country? Like the rest of the world, Russia is latching on to the craft beer scene, especially in Moscow. There are an ample amount of craft beer bars in Moscow, thanks to the recent explosion of the craft beer craving. You can easily find a good selection of European beer on tap, as well as bottles from around the world. In 2014 and 2015, at least two dozen craft beer bars have opened in Moscow alone. Lagging, however, are the craft breweries with only a handful in Moscow. There are no craft brewpubs in Moscow which brews its own beer on location.
