>> 2015 Mergers and Acquisitions
Interesting article in this link - http://www.brewbound.com/news/editors-note-2015-a-year-of-deals-rumors-preemptive-denials-and-lots-of-cash.
With all the recent acquisitions or investments, it makes for interesting discussion over a beer or two or three. It's clear the big guys, which are just a few now with their own mergers, are finally realizing that they need to stop their market share decline that is quickly going to the micro breweries. And it appears that the small guys are willing to sell or let the big guys invest in them. Unfortunately, it's eroding the brand that the good small guys have built. For example, why in the world would Founders sell a 30% investment stake to Mahou-San Migel? I mean, have you had any of their beers - they're not that good. It'll make me think twice before buying another Founders beer, no matter how good they are or have been. I prefer to support the up and coming guys that are making beer drinking really enjoyable, and those that are committed to the craft beer business and not out just to make a quick buck.
How long before these good breweries that are getting bought up will start to lose customers d or fall by the wayside due to these acquisitions?
