Weyerbacher Brewing
Weyerbacher is located north of Philadelphia about 20 miles east of Allentown, adjacent to the Lehigh River, although their wasn't a clear view of the river from the brewery. It's in a large warehouse that contains the brewery and tap room. It's wide-open so you can see what's going on inside the brewery while your are enjoying some of their great beer. There is a large selection of draft beer, 12 oz. bottles and a few bomber bottles as well. They also offer some taproom only beers that you can't find any other place. All bottles are sold as to-go only although the parking lot is considered off premises, so you can still sit outside and enjoy them. No food but a handful of snacks are available from local sources. Two Rivers Brewing
Two Rivers Brewing resides in a 200-year old building with some of the restored interior dating back 100 years. The history of the building is an interesting read and can be found on their website. This brewery and restaurant offers a full dinner menu to complement their good-tasting beer. The food is made from locally sourced ingredients. Their unique beer-naming convention references local history and people. The brewery name is derived from the Delaware and Lehigh rivers which meet just a few blocks from the brewery. It is located just a couple miles from Weyerbacher, so if you visit one, you should definitely visit the other. Lots of seating and great place to gather with friends and family. Fegley's Brew Works
Fegley's Brew Works has 2 locations - one in Allentown and one in Bethlehem. I went to the Bethlehem location, which is the original location. I used to come here nearly 20 years ago, long before drinking craft beer was "cool", although this location is quite a bit bigger now. It has a full restaurant menu and unlike many brewpubs, has a full bar, as well. The interior is decorated in a manner to commemorate the steel industry which was once a huge part of Bethlehem (Bethlehem Steel). The large interior with lots of seating accommodates both families and large groups of friends. Located at the city center. just a couple blocks from the Lehigh River.
