O'so Brewing
We stopped here after going to the Central Waters Brewing 20th anniversary party. It's about 12 miles west of Central Waters and 7 miles south of Stevens Point, where most of the hotels are located if you are staying overnight in the area. O'so is really a brewery and a tap house with 40 taps that was predominantly O'so beer on the night we went. The remaining taps poured local Wisconsin beer. It was impressive to see so many taps from a single brewery and offered a great selection to choose from - something for everyone. Location: 3028 Village Park, Plover Updated: Jan '18 |
Central Waters Brewing Co
Central waters has been around for 20 years and while not having a large variety of beer for a brewery that old, the quality and flavor is above average. I went here for the 20th anniversary party (ticketed event) where you could purchase bottles of the XX anniversary beer as well as a selection of standard and special beers to drink on-site. While crowded, it was a good time for all. The line to get in moved fairly quickly but the line for beer moved very slowly. You meet a lot of people and make new friends from all over the U.S. and enjoy live music while you socialize. After they close, the after-parties move to the hotels where you can enjoy bottle-sharing with your new friends. Location: 351 Allen Street, Amherst Updated: Jan '18 |
