Prism Brewing Company
Prism has a nice local brew pub atmosphere. They are located in Lansdale in a small shopping area. They moved to this new location about 6 month ago. I beleive that have been brewing for many years at a different location. They have about 8 beers on tap. Fun place to eat with their interesting menu. Beers enjoyed:

Conshohocken Brewing Company.
Located about 15 miles north of Philadelphia, Conshohocken Brewery has a nice large open interior that can hold lots of people. There are 10 beers on tap and a very limited food menu - just a few items. Location: Suite B, 739 East Elm Street, Conshohocken Updated Dec '14 |
Forest & Main Brewing
I believe this was built inside an old home, so the pub is a very cozy area with only 5 stools at the bar and handful of others scattered around the perimeter. I went here with local colleagues and we had a blast. You can't help but talk to others and have fun here while you're drinking some very good beer. Location: 61 North Main Street, Ambler Updated Dec '14 |
Round Guys Brewing Company
A little bit farther north of Philly - about 25 miles. 11 or 12 taps with a couple unique ones. I had an imperial double porter with peanut butter that was phenomenal. Bartender was friendly with good knowledge about their beer. Good friendly atmosphere. Location: 324 West Main Street, Lansdale Updated May '17 |
Tired Hands Brewing
Great brewery in the Northwest suburbs of Philadelphia offering a variety of beer styles for your enjoyment. The 12-beer tap list seemed to be a little heavy with IPAs but there was also lagers, saisons, a porter, pale ale and a bitter on the beer menu when I was there. There are two locations within a 5-minute walk of each other. I went to the larger, Fermentaria, which is their second location after outgrowing the first location (Brew Cafe). The Fermentaria serves as the main brewing location and production facility. There is a light food menu available which mainly consisted of tacos and ceviches. This is one of the top breweries in Pennsylvania and worth a visit. Location: 16 Ardmore Avenue, Ardmore Updated Feb '17 |
Victory Brewing
I guess visiting this brewery was a little anticlimactic partly because their beer is widely distributed and I've enjoyed lots of it. There are three brewpubs in PA and I went to the Downingtown location which is the original brewery. Mostly, the beer brewed at this location now would be of the experimental variety. The evening was uneventful as it wasn't very crowded and there wasn't really anything special on tap that I couldn't find elsewhere. This location is quite large, so I am sure they get busy at times, just not while I was there. Service at the bar was extremely slow even though very few people were there. For food, there is a small typical pub fare menu available. Even though the beer was good, my patience waiting for service ran out, so I left after a just a short time there.
