There is something brewing in East Asia and it's a modest craft beer revolution. New brewpubs and craft beer bars are starting to pop up in many major Asian cities, such as Shanghai, Beijing, Taiwan, Tokyo and Taipei. Many are off the beaten path and patronized by not only tourists and expats but by curious and beer-loving locals. Locals are passing up their traditional light lagers for heftier IPAs, stouts and ales.
