SingleCut Beersmiths
I first learned about SingleCut earlier in the week when I had their IPA in Bethlehem PA. While staying overnight across from Laguardia Airport, I used the Untappd app to find breweries near me. SingleCut showed up so I headed there for the evening. I was not disappointed. There were 15 beers on tap list which was very heavy on IPAs (9 of 15). They also offered an IPL, a pilsner, a couple of stouts (including a barrel-aged) and a sour. All the beer I tried was extremely good. The sour was an imperial blueberry sour weighing in at an amazing 12%. This was absolutely the best sour beer I've ever had. It was extremely well-balanced, not overly sour, just a subtle blueberry flavor and you would never guess it was 12% if you didn't know. They have a stage upstairs for occasional live music and a limited food menu is available on site from Salt & Bone Smokehouse. Only disappointment was the bartender didn't have a clue about any of the details about their beer. Location: 19-33 37th St, Queens Updated Feb '17 |
