Paris
Paris is a fun city however it is rather large. It is nice to mix sightseeing with an adventurous craft beer trip. Pick up an all day pass for the subway system for only 7 Euros. It is well with it. You can see the great sites of Paris and then head out for an evening of very nice craft beer. Searching the Internet provided a list of various places for craft beers. However there is one important thing to note, while the web search brought up a variety of places, many are just bottle shops and others are really restaurants that have some craft beer. My goal was craft beer pubs/bars. I was able to find three very good ones, each one had their own individual character.
La Finé Mousse
Great place with about 14-18 craft beers on tap providing an excellent selection of French and international craft beer. It was a bit quiet when I first arrived. I had a nice chat with the bartender, however as the night went on it became very busy and packed, with standing room only. Definitely a favorite for the locals. Brewberry Cave à Bières
Another excellent selection of craft beer. The interesting fact about this place is they focus on international beers, I do not believe they had any French craft beer. It was very busy with all tables taken however they had a nice standing area which had space. There were also tables on the walkway out front. This would have been great to sit and drink a beer, but it was a little cold this time of year. Location: 18 Rue du Pot de Fer Nearest Metro: Place Monge Station, Line 7 Updated: Jun '15 |
Les Trois 8
This was the smallest of the three. They had a few tables and a handful of stools at the bar. They had eight beers on tap with seven of them French beers. The other one was an excellent Stout from London (London 1890). The also have collection of international craft beer in bottles.
