Malaysia only has 2 commercial breweries, Carlsberg and Guiness Anchor Berhad. You won't find any craft breweries in Malaysia either. And craft beer bars are a scarcity in Malaysia. Part of this equates to the heavy Muslim population - nearly 2/3 of the total population, for which drinking is forbidden. Another factor is that Malaysia levies the second highest excise duty tax in the world. However, don't be deterred. You can still find craft good beer in Malaysia, you just need to hunt for it.
