North of Boston
Cape Ann Brewing Company
I wasn't expecting much when I went here and got exactly that. A mix of local patron and tourists which makes it a very family friendly restaurant and brewery. I found the beer, food and service all to be sub par. The best parts of this place are that it is located right on the pier and has a nice outdoor seating area. Riverwalk Brewing Company
Tiny, tiny place with just a few beers on tap available for tasting. Resides in a commercial business building. Tours are provided as needed. Location: Commerce Park, 3 Graf Road #15, Newburyport Updated Aug '16 |
Newburyport Brewing
Only a block away from Riverwalk, Newburyport brewing is a much larger place with a much more personable atmosphere. The evening I went, it was packed, with standing room only compared to it's neighbor which had 1 person in it. That says a lot. Large outdoor seating area. Live music most nights but that was also a negative as it was blaring loudly and I could not hear the person next to me speaking. It was a very bad experience as was the screaming children. Very much a local brewpub. If they toned down the music a little bit, it would be a super place to go and mingle with friends and conversation. Food is catered in from local establishments, like pizza and tacos shops. Location: 4 New Pasture Road, Newburyport Updated Aug '16 |
