The Lodge at Cascade Brewing
As of November 2017, The Raccoon Lodge has been renamed The Lodge at Cascade Brewing. The reason for this was to better identify itself with the great Cascade beers and name recognition. When I first visited this place, I was caught off-guard because I had heard from my local colleagues that is was just an average place. I was quite surprised when I went here only to find out that this actually is the brewery for Cascade Brewing. They have many more of the non-sour style beers than you will find at the Cascade Barrel House. But they did have a few of their great sours on tap as well as some bottle sales. It's a large place with a large outdoor seating area. Light pub fare is available. Bartender was quite knowledgeable about their beers. McMenamins
McMenamins is a chain of restaurants up and down Washington and Oregon, with most of the restaurants in Oregon. It also has its own breweries in a number of the restaurants in order to support all locations. I’ve been to a couple of these. A lot of their restaurants are themed with hotels, live music, and theater. At the Edgefield location, which I went to, they had a neat hotel, a movie house, live concert venues, spa and shopping all on a single campus. It was quite amazing. The beer is usually good and there is decent full food menu. Location: Multiple Locations Updated Apr '16 |
Uptown Market
Uptown Market is located in Beaverton and is a combination bottle shop and brewery. It's a great place to stop in after work for a beer or two and then bring home a bottle of craft beer. The bottle selection was very impressive, with lots of variety. They have 18 taps of which 8 were pouring when I was there. Their own beer was quite good. Overall, a great place for beer. Vertigo Brewing
Vertigo Brewing is located among a bunch of commercial buildings, so not exactly where I would have expected to find it. But it was worth the hunt as the beer was good. As I sat at the bar, I noticed a lot of people ordering half and half beers (of all styles). This is a smallish place with a food truck on Fridays and I believe someone sells tacos one a week, otherwise, just beer. Location: 21420 NW Nicholas Court, Hillsboro Updated Jan '15 |
Brannon’s Pub & Brewery - NOW CLOSED (AUG 2015)
Pub and brewery with a fair amount of interior space for eating, drinking and enjoying yourself. They have a very unique and interesting ceiling with some very large gears hanging down. I though the beer was good but I've heard varying reports. Location: 3800 SW Cedar Hills Boulevard, Suite 200C, Beaverton Updated Aug '16 |
