France
The craft beer revolution in France is lagging behind that of other countries. But slowly, brewpubs and craft beer bars are starting to become a little more popular. While traveling in France the last time in early 2016, I was able to find a few in each of the cities I visited, but no more than that. There are a few more in larger cities, such as Paris, but still far behind the curve compared to many other countries. The very first craft beer festival in Paris was only recently held in 2014. All of this is probably not too surprising, since France in much more know for great wines, rather than great beer. So while some locally brewed beer is becoming more available, don't get your hopes up for exotic styles or flavors (think very basic lager style).
