Greater Los Angeles Area
Tustin Brewing
SoCal neighborhood brewpub located in Orange County. Located in Tustin for over 20 years, Tustin Brewery had about 12 taps which provided a selection of their beer as well as other local beer and a cider or two. They also have a nice pub food menu. Location: 13011 Newport Avenue #100, Tustin Updated Dec '17 |
Noble Ale Works
Great Anaheim brewery serving up a variety of tasty beer from up to 20 taps in their diminutive taproom. As I understood it from taking with other patrons, they are in the process of expanding to better accommodate their numerous customers with more space and more brewing capacity. On busy nights, they open up a second pouring station that pours a few of their most popular beers. They are located walking distance from both Angel Stadium and Anaheim hockey arena. Noble allows you to park for free in their lot and walk to the games. But make sure to stop in and enjoy some great beer before or after the game. They also have a food truck on a daily basis. Location: 1621 Sinclair Street B, Anaheim Updated Dec '17 |
Phantom Ales & Home Brew Shop
There is a lot going on here at this small nano brewery. Along with serving up some good beer, they are also a home brew supply shop and offer a 6-month brewing program. They also have a lot of group nights such as the art class shown in the lower right photo. But there's more - they aren't just a brewery, they also make meads, ciders and wine. Along with the variety of liquid refreshments, they have a small, but decent, pub menu. Location: 1211 North Las Brisas Street, Anaheim Updated Dec '17 |
Asylum Brewing
Asylum Brewing just opened earlier this year in April. The small taproom is located across the street from Bottle Logic. When I was there, they were pouring just a handful of beers from their 10 taps, but they were interestingly unique. They have an occasional food truck, usually on the weekend. Location: 2970 La Palma Avenue Suite D, Anaheim Updated Dec '17 |
Smog City Brewing
I really enjoyed my visit to Smog City. They had 16 beers on tap which included a lager and a wide-ranging selection of Ales, including several barrel-aged beers (sour, stout, porter and brown ale). There is also a cooler from which you can select from some of their best beers to bring back home with you. The staff was very knowledgeable about their beers. Ample parking in their lot and a food truck to satisfy your hunger. Walking distance to/from Monkish. Location: 1901 Del Amo Boulevard, Torrance Updated Dec '17 |
Monkish Brewing
Awesome! If you thirst to indulge in the haze craze, this is a great West Coast brewery where you can find some New England-style IPAs. It's kind of ironic because for the first 4 years of the brewery's existence, they did not even make an IPA. Instead, they focused on Belgian-inspired ales. Now, you can find a variety of styles to choose from including wild ales and lagers. I am a real fan of Tree House Brewing and this is the first brewery I've come across that can equal the quality and flavor of those NE IPAs from the East Coast. The taproom is a little on the small side, so expect it to be crowded. But you're sure to meet some interesting beer-lovers there. Food truck parked outside the open garage door in the taproom.
